Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Achievements

Achievements by students and Faculty Members

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a National level symposium entitled as “INNOV AVIT 2K19” by involving all the departments in the college with respective department co-ordinator that was held during 27th and 28th of March 2019 in AVIT campus.
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a two day international conference on sustainability management of advanced renewable energy technologies, “ICSMART2019” on 11th and 12th April of 2019.Dr. Wattanapong Rakwichian, Director, SG Tech School of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand, was the chief Guest for the event. Dr. Sukruedee Sukchai, Advisor to the director SG Tech School of Renewable energy and smart grid technology, Naresuan University was the Guest of honor.
The Siemens COMOS DCS Integrated Engineering Lab was inaugurated by the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 10th may 2019, through which various courses and hands on training are being conducted.
The Institute of Engineers India (IEI) professional society chapter was inaugurated by the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on JULY 2019.
To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi it was decided to promote the message of ‘Energy Swaraj’ by the Gandhi Global Solar Yatra (GGSY). IIT, Bombay organized Student Solar Ambassadors Workshop along with the other technical institutions in India to create a Guinness World Record on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2nd October 2019.The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation decided to take part in workshop and conduct it as a mass event.

RANJITH R, Student of III YEAR MECHATRONICS Participated in TECHgium 2019 event organized by L&T TECHNOLOGY SERVICES in the concept of Measuring the Viscosity of the drilling fluid to find their properties on JANUARY 2019.
MITHUN DAS, Student of III YEAR EEE won AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chatra Vishwakarma Awards- 2018 at NEW DELHI under the concept “EMPOWERMENT OF VILLAGES THROUGH TECHNOLOGIES” on JANUARY 2019
Two students from EEE Department, Sunkrutha S from III year Mechatronics and Mithun Das from III YEAR EEEwere selected to visit Thailand as a part of student exchange program in collaboration with Naresuan university –Thailand for one week during JANUARY 2019
Spot event prize won by the department of EEE students in the symposium “INNOV AVIT 2K19”
The students of EEE participated in the Young Springs’19 and won the best participants award conducted by “School of Management ”, AV Campus, Paiyanoor.
Mr. R. Ranjith of Final year MECHATRONICS Presented paper in the 7th International conference on wind turbine and renewable Energy, SG Tech School of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand on 7 & 8 November 2019.
Ms. S. Sunkrutha, IV YEAR Mechatronics won the best participant award in the National Convention and conference of Electrical engineers organized by Institution of Engineers professional society chapter of Tamilnadu State center.
ISTE CHAPTER BEST STUDENT AWARD for the year 2019 is awarded to Ms. S. Sunkrutha, IV YEAR Mechatronics for her overall performance in academic and extracurricular activities in AVIT at 19th ISTE TN Section Annual convention of Engineering Students 2019 on 18th December, 2019.
Mr.R.Ranjith, Final year Mechat student has won runner up along with his team from other college in “Assistive Technology(AT) Makeathon” 2020 Shaastra, IIT Madras.
The students of Third year SAE, Ms. Preethi Dhinagaran and Ms.S.Sivaranjani was submitted Student Project to India Science Fest-2020 titled as “Battery Less UPS System using Flywheel” and selected one among the five best teams from 800 projects. The presentation on project has given on 11th and 12th of January-2020, in the “Perform Your Project” Competition at the India Science Fest-2020, at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, Maharastra-411008.
The students of Third year SAE, Ms. Preethi Dhinagaran and Ms.S.Sivaranjani and student of IV year EEE, Ms. Annu Gladysha has selected in 1st level in CHHATRA VISHWAKARMA AWARDS 2019 titled as “BATTERYLESS UPS SYSTEM USING ARTIFICALINTELLIGENCE BASED CONVERTER”

ACHIVEMENTS BY FACULTY

A project proposal on “Preventive Women Safety App” of worth 15.5lakhs was submitted by Dr.L. Chitra,HOD/EEE as PI and Ms.S.Jensie Anita, AP/EEE as Co-PI, under the scheme of Science and Technology for women(DST) and presented the proposal in Indian National Science Academy, Delhi.
Under the guidance of Dr.G.Ezhilarasan,Prof/EEE, the students of Third year SAE, Ms.Preethi Dhinagaran and Ms.S.Sivaranjani participated in “Perform your project” in the Indian Science Festival 2020,Pune and selected one among the five best teams.

Dr.L.CHITRA, HOD/EEE, appreciated as Panel member for the topic discussion on “ELECTRIC VEHICLES”
Dr. G. Ezhilarasan, Professor/EEE ,Dr.L.CHITRA Professor & HOD/EEE and Mr. V. Rattan Kumar, Assistant Professor(Gr-II)/EEE submitted project, entitled as “DC micro grid based solar PV generation to supply power to street lamp and common utilities in a village” under UBA. Received fund of Rs.50,000 and successfully completed Project in Arunkundram village, Thiruporur Talk, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.
Dr.L.CHITRA Professor & HOD/EEE and Dr. G. Ezhilarasan, Professor/EEE submitted project, entitled as “Mobile reverse osmosis water purification system using solar PV source for rural India” under UBA and Sanctioned of Rs. 1,00,000/-
