Read moreThe Department of Civil Engineering organized a one day guest lecture on “Career Planning and Development in Civil Engineering” on 5th April, 2019 at AVIT, Paiyanoor. The students as well as faculty members from Civil Engineering Department of AVIT attended the seminar. Dr.S.P.Sangeetha, Vice-Principal (Academics) & Head, Department of Civil Engineering delivered the welcome address. Dr.P.Shankar, Principal, AVIT and Dr. S.A.V. Satya Murty, Research Director (E & T), AVIT delivered the special address and inaugural address respectively. The Guest lecture was delivered by Mr. R. S. Ponpaul, Procurement Engineer, Hadeed Emirates Contracting, Abudhabi. During the session, Mr. R. S. Ponpaul gave a brief presentation on various opportunities of a civil engineer. He gave a brief lecture on how to plan a career after graduation in civil engineering and how to develop the career through GRE, TOEFL, GATE, CAT etc. More than 76 students attended and gained the vast knowledge that how to choose a right career path from several career plans. At the end of the lecture Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs. Srija (Assistant Professor-I), Department of Civil Engineering.
