REPORT ON INNOV AVIT 2019 SYMPOSIUM

A two day National level symposium entitled as “ INNOV AVIT 2K19 “ was held during 27th and 28th of March 2019 in AVIT campus. The symposium was organized by department of elecrical and electronics enigineering by involving all the departments in the college with resecpetive deparment co-ordinators. The first day of the symposium i.e. 27-03-2019 was started with the inaguration of the event. INNOV AVIT 2K19 video was presented in the beginning of the event which mentioned all the different events going to held in the symposium. Sir. D. M. Ponnavaiko, PROVOST, VMRF was delivered the presidential address and the special was delivered by Dr. P. Shankar,Principal, AVIT. Prof. P. Rajasekaran, Vice Principal (Admin), Dr. S.P. Sangeetha, HoD/Civil and Vice Principal (Academics), Prof. L. Chitra, HoD/EEE and Convener INNOV AVIT 2019, all the faclulty members of AVIT and the students from various departments were attended the inaguration event.

After the lamp lightening by the dignitaries on the stage, welcome address in the event was delivered by Mr. M. Dinesh Raj, President, Student committee, INNOV AVIT 2019. Ms. A. Kesshika, Secretary, student committee, INNOV AVIT 2019 was presented about the details abouth the different technical, non-technical and spot events going to conduct during the symposium. Vote of thanks for the inaguration program was delivered by Ms. A. Harani, Joint Secretary, student committee, INNOV AVIT 2019. The inaguration function was ended with the National anthem after which the students and staff were scaterred for different events held in the symposium.

As per the schedule of the symposium, all the technical, non technical and spot events were conducted for the two dyas of the symposium. To encourage the enterprenuer skills of the of the students different stalls were organized by various department students for wo days. Food items, textile stalls, fungames likewise all together 13 stalls from different departments are organized in the open auditorium of AVIT campus.

From the afternoon of the second day of symposium i.e. 28-03-2019, validictory function was organized in the auditorium of AVIT. Welcome address for the event was delivered by Ms. Kalaivani, Vice President, student committee, INNOV AVIT 2019. Sir. D. M. Ponnavaiko, PROVOST, VMRF was delivered the presidential address on that evening. Dr. A. Rajan Babu, CEO & Director, Arghaa HR technologies, Chennai was invited as chief guest for the validictory function of INNOV AVIT 2019. Dr. Rajan Babu, delivered his motivational chief guest talk by addressing the students gathered in the auditorium. All the diginitaries on the stage were distributed the prizes and certificates to the event winneres and runners of the symposium. Token of appeciation mementos were given to the department co-ordinators by the digitaries on the stage.

Best stall award was announced and awarded by Prof. P. Rajasekaran, Vice Principal (Admin), to Mr. Bjesh and team from the department of EEE. Best spot event conducted durin g the two days of the symposium was announced and awarded by Dr. S. P. Sangeetha, HoD/Civil and Vice Principal (Academics), to Ms. Sunkrutha and Team , department of EEE. All the departments were presented in the campus with their unique dress code for the two day symposoium event. The unique dress code award, AVIT IMPREZ 2019 was announced and awarded by Dr. M. Ponnavaiko, PROVOST, VMRF to the winner Department of Biotechnolgy of AVIT. For the two days event, the total points for the diffeent events were calculated and the score board was made and consolidated by Dr. G.Ezhilarasan. AVIT ASPIRE 2K19 trophy was awarded for the best overall performing department of AVIT based on the score board. The AVIT ASPIRE 2K19 trophy was announced and awarded to the Department of Mechanical Engineering by the chief guest Dr. A. Rajan Babu. All the winners and winning departments were conngratulated by the dignitaries presented in the auditorium. The two day national level symposium INNOV AVIT 2K19 program in AVIT was concluded by respecting the national anthem.
