Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology was established in the year 1998 as an affiliated institution under the University of Madras. Later it was affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. In 2004, the institution attained the status of a university under the ambit of Vinayaka Missions University, Salem. The institution offers under-graduate programmes in 14 different disciplines and five post-graduate programmes including Master of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration.
