Dr. N. R. Alamelu, Principal holds a Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. She obtained her Masters Degree in Applied Electronics from Madras University and Bachelors Degree with honors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. She has 25 years of academic experience in various positions at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Mohamed Sathak Group of Institutions and Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute.

She has 6 years of research experience and has 40 research publications to her credit in journals and conferences. Her areas of specialization include VLSI System, Image Processing, Communication System and Network Security.

She is a member in a number of Academic Bodies and Professional Societies. She is a Life Member in ISTE, Fellow of IETE, Member of the Computer Society of India and Member – IEEE

She is presently the secretary, IEEE Madras Section and Chairperson of the IEEE Communication Society, Chapter of IEEE Madras Chapter.
