| Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, Vinayaka Missions University organized a 2nd National Conference on VLSI, Embedded Systems and Signal Processing (NCVESCOM'09) during 8-9, April 2009 at AVIT, Paiyanoor.
The Conference was co-sponsored by IEEE Madras Section, IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Computer Society, IETE Madras Chapter and ISTE Madras Chapter.
Dr. (Mrs.).N.R.Alamelu, Principal, AVIT & Convener of the Conference welcomed the gathering.
Shri.P.Swaminathan, Distinguished Scientist and Director, Electronics and instrumentation group IGCAR, Kalpakkam inaugurated the Conference.
Shri.H.R.Mohan, Associate Vice President (Systems), The Hindu, Chennai & Chairman IEEE Computer Society, Madras Section released the Conference Proceedings.
Shri.S.Basker, General Manager (Operations), Vinayaka Missions University presided over the inaugural function and received the first copy of the Conference Proceedings & Conference CD.
Prof.D.Vijendra Babu, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Organizing Secretary of the Conference briefed about the 2 day proceedings of the Conference.
Mr.R.Vijaya Arjunan, Assistant Professor & Co-ordinator of the Conference, proposed the Vote of thanks.
Around 85 technical papers were presented by Faculty and Research Scholars from Engineering Colleges & Industries all over India.
Best Paper Awards were presented for each session.
