| With a view to adapting to
the challenging new demands, improving knowledge
and providing insight to the students and faculty, each institute under the umbrella of the VMU has its own library linked to
a Central Online Catalogue. On the whole VMU has over 1,00,000 books, 1000 periodicals and 5000 audiovisuals, together with a large electronic information resource which supports educational and research programs of both students and faculty. Well qualified librarians provide the best assistance to students and faculty. Efforts are made to procure most of the titles referred by the faculty.
AVIT, a constituent college of VMU has an air -conditioned
library with separate rooms for reading and reference, with good seating
facilities. It houses the best collection of journals, reference books and CD ROMs to support
the education and research of both faculty
and students. Scheduled library hours form
part of the time-table. The AVIT Library strives to maintain library service
of a very high standard emphasizing on the actual delivery of documents to meet the generic as well as specific needs of users.
