The IEEE Communications Society founded in 1952 is the world's leading membership organization for communications professionals. Aarupadai Institute of Technology, Vinayaka Missions University was the first institution to have a student branch chapter of the IEEE Communications Society. The branch was inaugurated on 13th April, 2007 at the college campus in Paiyanoor. The society chapter provides the students with a platform for exhibiting and honing their talents. The chapter organizes technical lectures in the current trends in Communication Engineering for the benefit of the students.
