Programmes leading to the award of
the Ph.D Degree is available in various disciplines. Candidates can register themselves as:
1. Full time internal
2. Part time internal
3. Part time external
Registration to Direct Ph.D Programmes for B.Tech
Graduates is also possible.
Categories of Ph.D Candidates
There shall be three categories of Ph.D Candidates: i) Full-time (ii) Part-time Internal and (iii) Part-time External.
1) Full-time Candidates: Ph.D candidates who pursue full-time doctoral work in the University shall belong to this category.
2) Part-time External Candidates: Ph.D candidates working in Industries, Colleges, Govt. Departments or Research Organisations recognized by this University, shall belong to this category. These candidates should spend at least 4 months (that is, one semester) in the University during the programme.
3) Part-time Internal Candidates: Ph.D candidates who are regular faculty members of this University belong to this category.
