ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1998. The Department offers full time undergraduate course in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering disciplines. The department also offers part-time under graduate course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a post graduate course in Power System Engineering. The Department has well equipped laboratories with state of the art facilities.

The department has been organizing a cascade of seminars, guest lectures, workshops, symposia, conferences, industrial visits, in-plant training, inter collegiate programmes from time to time for the enefit of the faculty members and students through its Technical Association – EEESA (Electrical and Electronics Engineering Student Association) and professional bodies like the IEEE Power and Energy Society. The Department also coordinates the IEEE Student Branch with students of all the branches as its members.

The Department has signed an MoU with "VI Micro System" and Bon ton Software for the benefit of the faculty, students' project work and in-plant training. The Department has an excellent placement record. The placements are arranged through the Career Development and Placement Cell. The Department library is well-equipped with many books and journals covering all the aspects of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering field. The Faculty Members are well qualified with inherent experience in both teaching and research.

To impart the technical education and carry out research and development in niche area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering by producing high class graduates into the most professional and successful electrical engineers ever.

INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES

The department having well equipped computer laboratory, all class room are having provision for LCD projector and multimedia facility. Department having six well spacious class rooms, exclusive department library for students as well as staffs, spacious staff rooms with separate cabin for Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professor. The department having separate cabin for HoD, with department office to facilitate the students and parents. The department has laboratory facility for the post graduate students as well as research scholars.
